If you want to upload photos to
a website or send them to friends, you
might have to first reduce their size. All
well-known graphics programs can do
this, but the process can be cumbersome
and long, no matter how many images
there are. You can make this a bit easier
with batch processing in IrfanView or use
the simple and popular TinyPic
. You can
find this free tool at www.tinypic.com.
After installation, using TinyPic
is child’s play. Select one of the five
pre-determined sizes. Now drag all
the pictures you want from Windows
Explorer into the lower area of the
window. The converted images
automatically migrate back into the
original folder in JPG format with a
prefi xed name. The target folder can be
changed in the combination fi eld “Filing”.
You can also specify the images using
“File selection”, which can select all
established graphics formats. And that
is all. The tiny tool meticulously fulfi lls
its tasks with no problems. This way
you save a lot of time when you want to
quickly email a set of pictures to anyone.
