SELF-BALANCING ELECTRIC BIKE
The C-1 is the name given to the electric motorcycle of Lit motor’s, which provides many advantages over other motorcycles and the electronically-controlled gyroscopic stabilizing system enables it to balance itself on two wheels. Though it is a motor cycle (it has only two wheels), the enclosed structure resembles that of a car. Motorcycles and cars have their own advantages, so the designer of C-1, Daniel Kim (industrial/automotive designer), designed the vehicle such that it incorporates both the advantages of a Motorcycle and a car. C-1 is a two passenger electric motorbike and ensures safety to the passengers. The electronically-controlled gyroscopic stabilizing system also enables the vehicle to stay upright even when it is struck by another vehicle on its side in an accident.
Different versions of the C-1 will be available for different markets. C-1 will have electric hub motors in both wheels, at least one of those motors being a high-performance Remy HVH unit. The expected top is 193 km/h (120 mph). The aerodynamic design, low rolling resistance and KERS (Kinetic Energy Recovery System) technology should give the light weight C-1 a descent mileage.
